Lance Jay Brown
Lance Jay Brown, FAIA, DPACSA, is the principal of Lance Jay Brown Architecture + Urban Design, a fellow of the American Institute of Architects and the Institute for Urban Design, and ACSA Distinguished Professor at the Spitzer School of Architecture, where he served as Chair/Director. He is the Immediate Past President of AIANY. He has edited, written, and co-authored publications such as Urban Design for an Urban Century (2009 and 2014); Beyond Zuccotti Park: Freedom of Assembly and the Occupation of Public Space (2012), and The Legacy Project: Via Verde (2015). He was awarded the prestigious AIA/ACSA Topaz Medallion for Excellence in Architectural Education in 2007 and more recently received local and national awards for his Post-Sandy work. Lance teaches, lectures, and consults nationally and internationally.
