Pippa Brashear

Pip­pa Bras­hear is the Direc­tor of Plan­ning and Resilience at SCAPE / Land­scape Archi­tec­ture, where she leads teams in the inte­gra­tion of sus­tain­able and resilient land­scape strate­gies that bal­ance the needs of envi­ron­ment, infra­struc­ture, devel­op­ment, and com­mu­ni­ty qual­i­ty of life. Recent projects include devel­op­ing coastal pro­tec­tion strate­gies for NYC’s Strate­gic Ini­tia­tive for Rebuild­ing and Resilience (SIRR), work­ing with com­mu­ni­ty plan­ning com­mit­tees as part of the New York Ris­ing Com­mu­ni­ty Recon­struc­tion Pro­gram, and SCAPE’s win­ning Rebuild By Design pro­pos­al, Liv­ing Break­wa­ter, a com­pre­hen­sive cli­mate change resilien­cy strat­e­gy for the South Shore of Stat­en Island that is being imple­ment­ed by the NY Governor’s Office of Storm Recov­ery. Pip­pa holds a MLA and MUP from the Har­vard Grad­u­ate School of Design, and a BA in Envi­ron­men­tal Sci­ence and Pub­lic Pol­i­cy from Har­vard Col­lege.
